Should We be Worried About the Sox?

The Red Sox are off to an extremely poor start this season after being swept in their first series against the Texas Rangers.  In all three games, the Rangers won by a large margin, and the pitching was exceptionally bad.  In just three games, Red Sox pitchers gave up 11 home runs, including three each to Nelson Cruz and Ian Kinsler.  The depth of the Red Sox rotation was supposed to be one of their strengths, but only three game in it appears to be a blatant weakness.  Even with all of these struggles, I'm not too worried about their chances this season.

Over the past few years, Boston has struggled playing against the Rangers, especially in Texas.  All three of the starting pitchers had some of their worst career starts, and there is no reason to believe that this trend will continue for them.  The offense has been pretty good, with David Ortiz coming off to a good start (for the first time in a few years).  There is no reason for me to believe that the Red Sox will continue to look as bad as they have, and a series against Cleveland should be just what the doctor ordered.  To me, the season is starting fresh now that they are out of Texas, and I look forward to seeing them perform as expected.
